Show interviewers what you’ve got and create a visual resume for entry level jobs.

Putting together a resume sounds stressful, but it doesn’t have to be. Adobe Creative Cloud Express allows you to make a beautiful resume online that will help you land an entry-level job. With Adobe Creative Cloud for students, all you have to do is follow these easy steps on how to make a visual resume and stand out from other recent graduates.

  1. Plan ahead. Before you open up CC Express, take some time to think about everything you want to include in your visual resume. If you’re still in school, meet up with an advisor to figure out what internships, campus leadership roles and skills you should highlight. You can also talk to recruiters about what they look for in entry-level candidates.

  2. Pick a template. CC Express has a range of great visual resumes that can be found right in the application. All you have to do is select a resume template to start. Since this is for a job early in your career, you probably don’t have a lot of previous work experience to include, so find a resume template that tells an interviewer something unique about your personality.

  3. Customize your resume. Start by filling in all the info about your experience and goals that you want to include. Next, pick out colors that communicate something about you. For example, you can use blue to highlight a calm demeanor or red to emphasize your energetic personality. You can also find pre-picked color schemes in the right sidebar. These are designed to look great together, and they can bring your resume to the next level.

  4. Download as a PDF. Once you’ve finished designing your resume, just click on the “Download” button in the top right and select “PDF” from the list of file types.

After downloading, you can view and make edits to the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. You can also try Adobe Illustrator and use these easy resume templates for any style if you want more flexibility in your design.
